We have a great need to discover and experience the powerful privilege of effective prayer. If we want to see the Kingdom of God advance with great power, then we need to learn to fight with spiritual weapons. Spiritual growth occurs in many ways - victory over temptation, peace in the presence of difficulties and encouragement in times of disappointment. These all depend on the practice of prayer. Cindi McMennimin describes the encouraging results when a group of people started praying together.

Dr. Bill Bright wrote, "History records no significant movement of the Spirit of God that has not been preceded by a very strong prayer emphasis." When we gather together to pray and praise God, great things happen. Not only do we grow personally, we invite others to grow with us. Let’s have concerts of prayer and praise and repeatedly ask God to pour out His Spirit on us in fresh ways. Let's not stop until we see the explosive growth of the church. The advancement of the Kingdom of God. And true revival in our midst.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.
He said, “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.
