Did you know it is impossible to spend too much time with God? In a short daily devotion, God can supply us with the spiritual perspective and strength we need to make it through most days. Feelings of bitter disappointment moved the Hagertys to set aside more time for God. Anytime is a good time to come to God. You don’t have to wait for circumstances to grow difficult in order to “carve out space” and experience pockets of time with God. Listen to worship music during your lunch hour; enjoy His presence on a quiet stroll through nature; sketch a picture to God before bed that reflects how you feel about the day. Be creative, quietly reflect, be vulnerable or choose to just pray. Set aside pockets of time to experience God’s goodness.
Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.
but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
