Making Your Life Count offers two ways to obtain our material from The Bible App. By the end of 2017, we will have twenty different five-day plans divided into the four themes of WALK, PRAY, CARE and SHARE. This gives a total of 100 days of devotional material. All of our devotionals include a short inspirational audio message.

Giving up your own way of thinking is not easy. Most people live their lives doing what it is they want most for themselves. It is hard for us to follow what others want us to do. We rebel and seek to meet our own desires. When you follow Jesus, He asks us to throw away our selfish interests and live for God. This concept of surrendering ourselves is not easy to grasp at first. Judy Douglass talks about how she overcame the struggle of wanting to live for herself.

Judy, like everyone, struggled with wanting her own way in life. We all want things in life and we all pursue them. Although not everything we want is bad, God still calls us to live for Him and Him only. As Judy said, “God has a better way for our life.” When we trust God with our lives, we are giving Him control so He can guide us into a life He meant for us to live. A life of companionship with Him. Through surrendering our lives to God daily, we find new life in the one true God who wants the best for us.
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course.
