In this life, we are surrounded with uncertainties. We may trick ourselves for a while into thinking we know exactly what is going to happen next. But we realize that so much of life seems outside of our control. Many crazy things are going on around us today- wars, conflicts, pandemics, disease, death. The list goes on. How do we face these uncertainties without being overcome with anxiety and fear? Fear is one of the enemy’s most popular weapons to use against us. It can overwhelm us and control our every move and decision. Lee Baucom shares about a time when fear and regret threatened to overtake his life.

There are many examples in scripture of Biblical figures overcoming fear. Abraham told to leave his home. Moses told to stand against a world leader. Joshua told to conquer a city with trumpets. Paul imprisoned for preaching Christ. Men and women put in “impossible” situations; yet, they trusted that God was more powerful than anything they could face. They trusted in God and His Word. They rested in that trust. You too can find rest in God and His Word. Read Scripture and allow God’s Word to soak into you. To become so much a part of you that those Words overcome whatever the enemy can throw at you. God’s Words are living, they soothe our soul, calm our spirit, and give us both rest and power through our day.
casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
